Isn’t it funny how you wait for months for some time off and then halfway through it you are dying to go back to work? I know I’m not the only person who has that problem. Ok, maybe I’m not the majority on that but I know I’m not alone. Either way, I have survived Christmas/Winter break. It was fun, for the most part. Christmas was much better than anticipated. Kids were happy with what they got. We had enough money to make it to Nebraska and back. It was all good.
Tony and I had another spat. I’m really tired of fighting. It nearly ruined New Year’s Eve. But we are good now. I think we are okay again. I hope we can get through this crap. I was always told the first 2 years were hell….it will be 5 in March. Can things get better and stay that way?
For some reason Michael is back on his Star Wars Battlefront kick. He gets a Wii with the games he wanted for Christmas and then he goes back to playing the PS2. Go figure. And then he wants me to play it with him. I don’t do shooting games. I suck at them. I am more than happy to play Lego anything with him or Mario Kart but no, he wants to play Battlefront. And then he makes that sad little puppy-dog face when I tell him I can’t play that game. I know I’ve told him enough times by now that he knows it. He just wants me to give it. Always pushing the envelope.
Bailey played with bubblewrap for 2 hours yesterday. We got 5 long sheets in with the Mario Kart box. She was wrapping them around herself pretending they were shawls and skirts and that she was a fairy. Must remember to buy more bubblewrap for that kid.
Michael was ready to go back to school. Not surprised. Bailey was not. Also not surprised. Today was the first day of eating breakfast at home. It went well. They were all ready for school by 7:35…slightly earlier than planned. Tomorrow we aren’t going to wake them up at 6:50.
